DENVER, CO, USA, November 28, 2016 /EINPresswire.com/ -- TraceGains, the leading Food Safety and Quality Assurance (FSQA) software solution for food and consumer packaged goods (CPG) companies, has developed a Food Safety and Modernization (FSMA) Stress Test to help FSQA professionals identify areas of their food safety plan that may have shortcomings. The stress test has separate sections which correspond with each of the major FSMA rules so food and beverage companies can take the parts that apply to their business.

“We developed the FSMA Stress Test to help food and beverage companies identify potential areas of weakness or risk in their food safety operations,” said TraceGains CEO Gary Nowacki. “With such complicated regulations, it’s not surprising that a lot of companies still don’t know what is required to comply with FSMA. The tests are designed to spark open and honest conversations among food safety team members so they can fill any gaps they may have and move toward compliance as soon as possible.”

TraceGains partnered with food safety attorney Marc Sanchez of Contract In-House Counsel and Consultants, LLC and food safety consultant Nancy Scharlach of Soterian Systems LLC to develop the test. The questions are designed to demonstrate the elements needed to comply with the seven main rules. The test is available on TraceGains website https://www.tracegains.com/fsma-stress-test.

Nowacki continued, “The FSMA Stress Test is not meant to be inclusive of everything food and beverage companies need to be FSMA compliant, but it will help illuminate important areas that may have been overlooked and need further examination."

TraceGains offers educational tools and webinars as a service to the food industry it serves. It's next FSMA webinar is December 2 when guest speaker Shawn K. Stevens will help foreign suppliers learn what is necessary to comply with FSMA's Foreign Supplier Verification Program. Registration is available free of charge at https://www.tracegains.com/events.
