Spurs have endured an inconsistent season so far this term.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side are currently fifth in the league, having struggled to recreate the form that took them to second and third-placed finishes in the last two seasons.

But with highlights including a 3-1 win over Real Madrid in the Champions League, fans have still had moments to smile.

And Alli, 21, has just provided more cause for optimism.

TRAINING: Dele Alli filmed the Spurs players taking free-kicks

The England midfielder was given the camera on the third and final day of the squad’s Barcelona tour.

In it, he introduces viewers to a training session with the glorious Spanish sunshine behind him.

Explaining that a free-kick session is under way, he tees up goalkeeping coach Toni Jimenez to strike the ball at goal.

But sadly for the Spaniard, he misses the target.

Luckily for fans, most of the players have more luck with their efforts.

Summer recruit Serge Aurier confidently steps up and bangs his effort home before midfield maestro Christian Eriksen characteristically slots in a second.

Fullback Kieran Tripper has no such luck, though.

The former Burnley man blazes his effort wide before Alli laughs: “He does not look happy!”

England linchpin Eric Dier then misses his attempt as he strikes the woodwork before Eriksen rounds off the session with a second comfortable goal.

Supporters clearly loved it, too.

One wrote: “This is the best Spurs side I’ve seen in 39 years.”

“Good stuff. Nice to see they’ve got personalities,” another added.

While a third wrote: “Love the team spirit at our awesome club.”

Next up for Mauricio Pochettino’s men is a trip to Southampton in the 4pm kickoff tomorrow.
