KUWAIT, Jan 16 (KUNA) -- The delegation of outstanding Kuwaiti male students continued their tour in Albania by visiting Albanian Development Fund (ADF), funded by Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) on Tuesday.
During the visit, officials at ADF hailed the role of KFAED in developing projects in Albania, KFAED's Press Chief Ahmad Al-Sarraf told KUNA.
The students learned of the "Rehabilitation of the Vlora River Road Project" funded by KFAED, to be complete by 2019, he said.
Al-Sarraf added that the project aims to support economic and social development in Vlora by developing transportation and connecting the coastal area with traffic networks, which will attract tourists to the country. On his part, assistant undersecretary for educational development at the Ministry of Education Faisal Maqseed said the trip aims to boost the skills of outstanding students.
He added that the trip will also encourage other students to exert further efforts in their studies to be outstanding.
The students visited the Kuwaiti-Albanian friendship monument, Et'hem Bey Mosque and Bunk'Art museum, which was used as a nuclear bunker.
The outstanding students trip initiative was launched by KFAED in 2010, organizing two separate trips a year for 12 males and 12 females from high schools. The trips involve two countries where KFAED is executing vital projects. (end) mar.amh.ag
