AND THEN SHE CAME TO PICK ME UP AND I WAS LIKE, OH THIS IS DIFFERENT THAN I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE. >> ANY OF THE BACK ROADS AND SECONDARY ROADS ARE STILL A MESS. BRITTANY: ACCIDENTS REPORTED IN AND OUT OF THE CITY. LIKE THIS 10 CAR PILEUP ON BIGELOW BOULEVARD IN PITTSBURGHS CRAWFORD ROBERTS NEIGHBORHOOD. ALLEGHENY COUNTY REPORTING MINOR INJURIES. ON THE RANKIN BRIDGE, RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC BROUGHT TO A HALT FOR THIS ACCIDENT JUST BEFORE 5:00. THREE CARS COLLIDED ON WEST LIBERTY AVENUE, CAUSING SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE TO AT LEAST TWO OF THE VEHICLES THAT HAD TO BE TOWED FROM THE SCENE. AND IN NORTH VERSAILLES, THIS CAR SLID OFF GREENSBURG PIKE AND STRUCK A GAS METER. OTHERS SAY IT WASN’T AS BAD AS THEY THOUGHT IT WOULD BE. CASANDRA GATEWOOD MADE THE TREK HOME FROM WORK IN SHADYSIDE TO EAST MCKEESPORT. >> I WAS VERY SURPRISED. CAUSE NORMALLY MY RIDE HOME ON THE FIRST DAY OF SNOW IS LIKE TWO HOURS AND TODAY IT WAS LIKE 45 MINUTES BRITTANY: PENNDOT IS WARNING DRIVERS TO BE VIGILANT THE REST OF THE NIGHT. EVEN AS THE SNOW STOPS FALLING, THOSE FALLING TEMPERATURES COULD STILL CAUSE WET ROADS TO FREEZE. >> DEFINITELY BE CAREFUL BECAUSE IT IS PRETTY FUN TO DRIVE ON THE ROADS RIGHT NOW. IT’S PRETTY SLICK SO TAKE IT EASY. IF YOU HAVE FOUR-WHEEL-DRIVE, TURN IT ON. BRITTANY: THOSE ROADS ARE BACK OPEN. PENNDOT SAYS THEY HAVE ABOUT 88 TRUCKS OUT THE REST OF THE NIGHT PLUS A FEW RENTALS, ADDRESSING ICY SPOTS AND WORKING ON CLEAN UP AGAIN, THEY’RE ASKING DRIVERS TO TAKE IT SLOW

A 10-vehicle crash with minor injuries shut down part of Bigelow Boulevard Tuesday evening as snow continued to fall. The crash happened on Bigelow Boulevard at Herron Avenue in front of Frank Curto Park in Pittsburgh's Crawford Roberts neighborhood. Officials said there was damage to vehicles and minor injuries. Bigelow Boulevard was shut down inbound from Herron Avenue to 7th Avenue downtown. PennDOT officials are warning drivers to take it slow the rest of the night Tuesday because roads are wet and and they will freeze. Watch the full report on the slick roads in the video player above. PennDOT said it will have 88 trucks plus rentals out addressing icy roads and working on clean up. The Port Authority of Allegheny County reported delays up to 60 minutes on Tuesday evening. The Port Authority said some roads are impassible due to the snow and ice. Crews also responded to a rollover crash on I-279 north in Franklin Park during the evening commute Tuesday. The crash happened between the Camp Horne Road exit and the I-79 split. Traffic was restricted to one lane in the area before the crash cleared around 6:15 p.m.Allegheny County emergency dispatchers confirmed one person was transported from the scene. Their condition is unknown at this time.
