Appleby Bermuda Promote Boys, Carr & Tildesley

Law firm Appleby has announced three Senior Associate promotions in Bermuda. The promotions are across two practice groups, Corporate and Dispute Resolution. These promotions are in addition to the five partner promotions announced in April 2018.

The company said, “Tiffany Boys has been promoted to Senior Associate in the Corporate department. Tiffany joined Appleby in 2010 as a trainee and was called to the Bermuda Bar in 2011. Tiffany maintains a diversified business practice including domestic and international mergers and acquisitions, secured and unsecured lending transactions and general corporate governance law.

“She has particular expertise in the area of shipping and aircraft registration and the incorporation of special purpose vehicles to acquire, manage or lease the same. Tiffany assists lawyers in the Corporate department and has advised both lenders and borrowers in numerous cross jurisdictional transactions involving asset finance. Tiffany is Bermudian.

“Matthew Carr has been promoted to Senior Associate in the Corporate department. Matthew joined Appleby in 2010 and was called to Bermuda Bar in 2011. Matthew advises clients on a wide range of corporate matters with a focus on insurance and reinsurance regulatory and transactional work including licensing of [re]insurance companies, alternative risk financing vehicles [such as cat bonds and insurance-linked securities], segregated account structures, M&A and general corporate governance matters. Matthew is Bermudian.

“Hannah Tildesley has been promoted to Senior Associate in the Dispute Resolution department. Hannah joined Appleby in 2017. She specialises in commercial litigation, with particular experience in insolvency, company law and fund disputes. She also advises on trusts matters. Hannah studied History at the University of Cambridge before obtaining her law qualifications at City University, London.

“Hannah is a Queen Mother’s and Benefactor’s Scholar at Middle Temple and a recipient of a Blackstone’s Exhibition. Prior to joining Appleby, Hannah was a barrister practicing from St Philips Chambers in London and Birmingham.”

    Tiffany is Bermudian. Matthew is Bermudian. Hannah is ???

    I don’t necessarily agree that their nationality is relevant but by not revealing the nationality of Hannah, the statement does a disservice to her.
