You can pre-order the iPhone Xr on October 19 starting at $749, shipping on October 26

More than a month after unveiling the iPhone Xr alongside its premium siblings, the iPhone Xs and Xs Max, Apple announced today that pre-orders for the cheaper iPhone will begin on October 19 at 12:01am PST. The phone can be pre-ordered on the company's online store or via the Apple Store app starting at $749.

The iPhone XR will ship in 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB storage configurations and you can choose from several color options including black, white, blue, yellow, coral, and red. The handset will officially go on sale from October 26 and be available in more than 50 countries and territories such as the U.S., UK, France, Germany, India, and Japan, among others.

Its availability will also expand to more territories including Israel from November 1 and Armenia, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, South Korea, Macau, Maldives, Myanmar, Ukraine, and Vietnam from November 2.

If you're living in the U.S., you will also have the option to upgrade your older iPhone model to the iPhone Xr through Apple’s iPhone Upgrade Program and select your carrier without having to sign up for a multiyear service contract. In that case, the upgrade will set you back $37.41 per month, but you'll have to obtain the company's approval by October 18 at 4pm PST before the pre-orders open.
